Domestic Distribution

Vice President, Domestic Distribution, Partner Marketing

Position Summary:

The Vice President for Partner Marketing will lead the development of strategic and innovative multi-platform marketing initiatives that drive value for Warner Bros. Discovery 29 U.S. networks and support commercial goals for affiliate distribution partners across the pay tv/media landscape.

The VP will work in close collaboration with internal and affiliate partner teams to develop initiatives that support overall Warner Bros. Discovery subscriber, revenue, and engagement goals. The VP will lead a highly skilled team responsible for the planning and implementation of account specific marketing initiatives.

This role requires performance and brand marketing strategy and will support WBD programming initiatives by developing campaigns and sales enablement tools that drive subscriber engagement, retention, and acquisition.

The VP will establish and maintain strong, consultative relationships with network marketing stakeholders to understand the WBD content pipeline and align on key marketing priorities. VP will also establish and maintain effective relationships with senior affiliate marketing partners; have a thorough knowledge of each distribution partners’ marketing priorities and challenges to understand how best to leverage WBD assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership insight, strategic thinking, conceptual development, and creative direction to the Partner Marketing team.

  • Accountable for providing high-energy leadership to the Partner Marketing team with strong focus on motivation, morale, and productivity.

  • Full campaign production and execution including 30-second commercials, on screen advertising, experiential/live events, sweepstakes, social and digital media, email marketing, etc. Plan and implement associated campaign paid media buys.

  • Drive overall development and implementation of account-specific marketing plans that align with subscriber and revenue targets.

  • Lead the development of performance tracking and analysis for partner campaigns and drive optimization of partner marketing mix to improve return on investment.

  • Produce postmortem analysis for internal and partner stakeholders to quantify impact of key initiatives and identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Oversee vendor relationships and the roadmap for the affiliate website. Define website strategy and oversee maintenance and integration projects.

  • Build proactive, collaborative relationships across the WBD organization to optimize O&O resources, prioritize efforts around key business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree required, MBA and experience in brand management and multiplatform marketing a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with 5+ years in a B2B role; media and entertainment experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to think strategically, assess opportunities, and translate business objectives into actionable marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results.

  • Thorough working knowledge of the media entertainment industry including programmer/affiliate relationships, marketing practices, and business trends.

  • Must be an innovative thinker with excellent presentation and communication (internal/external and written/verbal) skills.

  • Must have experience leading and managing a team, strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively collaborate and manage at all levels of a matrix organization.

  • In-depth understanding of the multiple facets of marketing (buying behaviors, strategic planning, analysis and measurement specific to media, creative development and execution across mediums)

  • Previous experience in managing external vendors and third party partners.

  • Must be willing to travel (approximately 25%)

  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
