ManTech Acoustics Mechanical Electrical Engineer in Silverdale, Washington

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Acoustics Mechanical Electrical Engineer to join our team in Silverdale, WA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support In-Service Engineering Agent providing technical expertise associated with Acoustic Monitoring Systems.

  • Quality Assurance experience - ensure products meet established quality standards and industry benchmarks. Monitor processes and inspect produced goods and services. Propose measures and process improvements to enhance operations, ensure reliability of systems, and minimize downtime, errors, and defects.

  • Electrical circuit design & consulting services for various projects.

  • Understand underwater acoustic system design.

  • Engage with Senior Engineers for design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions associated with US Navy related acoustics system

  • Perform a variety of moderately complex software and/or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design, or test nature.

  • Participate on project teams and provides guidance to less experienced engineers and technical staff. Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physics or applicable engineering field desired

  • 5-15 years of experience in acoustic analysis, data acquisition planning, and techniques

  • Must be willing to travel 10% to various U.S. Naval Installations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Acoustics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or a similar role, with a strong background in:

  • Analog Sensors and Interface: Hydrophones, Accelerometers, Voltage, IEPE, ICP, CVLD, CCLD.

  • Low Noise Analog Signal Conditioning: PreAmp, Amplifiers, Low/High Pass Filters, Single Ended and Differential Drivers.

  • Power Supplies: AC/DC, DC/DC, Linear, Switching, Low Noise, Low Ripple.

  • Design for Military Use: High Reliability, Low EMI Emissions and Susceptibility.

  • Physical principles of acoustics, sound propagation, signal processing, and radiated noise acoustic signature data measurement methodology and physics.

  • Submarine radiated noise signatures, identifying noise sources, decomposing and recomposing radiated noise signatures, analysis techniques and using numerical methods to predict radiated noise signatures.

Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. A currently active Secret clearance is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Work in confined spaces and challenging environments, as required for submarine maintenance and repair.

The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
