•The Parker Aerospace Group, Simi Valley Fire, Safety, and Power Division siteis a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing, ending with delivery to customers.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Business Development Manager 3 is responsible for maintaining/increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts within the OEM channels. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within designated customers. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. Actively support the corporation’s Win Strategy.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Business Development Manager will develops and maintains strong client relationships with OEM customers and may or may not have distributor accounts while meeting position objectives. Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of site products, applications, features, advantages and benefits. Keeps up with internal and external training and development.

• Obtain specifications and approvals at customers to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular basis. Keeps management aware of changes which would affect the distribution of Parker products. Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.

• Assist the site in planning strategy to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts.

• Proactively works with all divisional management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded. Represents company at trade shows and other professional activities.

• Reports to Division Business Development Leader.

• This role will not have any direct reports to manage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

BACHELOR’S DEGREE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE. Prefer a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, Systems, Mechanical, or Telecommunication).

EXPEREINCE:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in direct and/or distributor sales of industrial technical products

• Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, etc….)

• Must be able to travel as required. 25-30 % annually

• Applicable product and system certification preferred.

• Must have proven track record of performing or exceeding performance levels.

WORK AUTHORIZATION:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent residency is required for most positions.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Budget base salary range: $125K-140K plus 12.5% ACIP target (Annual Cash Incentive Plan)
