What You'll Do

The Refugee Finance Specialist supports the financial operations of the Immigrant & Refugee Services department, with a primary focus on tracking and documenting client and non-client spending for the refugee resettlement and Matching Grant employment programs in accordance with funders' documentation requirements. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records. The Finance Specialist will work closely with both support and service program staff to ensure the proper use of funds, will process payments for client expenses, reconcile statements, prepare reports, and provide training support to staff on financial procedures. This role will partner closely with Resettlement Caseworkers to provide consistent, timely services to the agency's clients.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field. Preferred candidates will have experience working in a non-profit or social services organization and/or serving refugees. Knowledge of refugee resettlement programs and services is a plus. Fluency in English is required.

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
