Job Title: Framing Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Framing Foreman with residential experience. The ideal candidate will not just sit in a job trailer but will actively manage projects, spending 60% of their time working and 40% managing. The goal is to continuously elevate each team member to the next position. Proficiency in using Co-construct for logging hours and the ability to teach its use is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications.

  • Determine materials, equipment, and procedures required to achieve desired results while adhering to safety procedures based on job site conditions.

  • Oversee and ensure that all safety rules and quality standards are being followed at all times.

  • Ensure workforce and resources are adequate.

  • Act as the liaison between construction workers and supervisors.

  • Ensure that a project is adequately staffed.

  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.

  • Produce work schedules in accordance with the availability of employees and contractors and monitor the attendance of crew.

  • Adjust tasks as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel.

  • Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget.

  • Mentor, manage, and train employees and contractors.

  • Supervise and train workers.

  • Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably.

  • Report project status to project manager and superintendent.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a construction foreman.

  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.

  • Understanding of use and maintenance of electrical and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.

  • Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (drywall, framing, etc.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership communication.

  • Construction and carpentry skills.
