Avera is currently seeking a highly motivated Operational Finance Director for Avera @ Home!

Job Summary

The Operational Finance Director (“Director”) for Avera at Home serves as the finance leader representing the finance interests of Avera at Home and its operations. The Director will work closely with Avera at Home operational teams and other finance leaders to effectuate integrated system finance strategies across all locations, collaborate on issues of importance to Avera at Home leaders, and work to ensure future financial strategies are executed in such a way that consistency of financial statements, collaboration across sites, and comparative financial analyses are preserved. The Director continually seeks to identify areas of opportunity aimed at revenue growth, cost savings, and addressing operating plan shortfalls for all sites. The Director also provides valuable feedback that furthers continuous process improvement and the provision of high quality financial services to meet the unique needs of Avera at Home across all functional areas of the consolidated finance team. Lastly, the Director works closely with the Operational Finance Officer for the Avera McKennan Region to identify opportunities for service integration, financial optimization, and apply the most effective allocation of resources to complicated projects.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, healthcare administration, or health care related field is preferred;

  • Five years of financial management experience in the health care environment.

  • Progressive and responsible financial management experience.

  • Knowledge of health care delivery system and/or healthcare financial reporting.
