Presbyterian Homes is actively seeking a dynamic individual to join our Information Technology team in the role of Clinical Informatics Nurse. Reporting directly to the Vice President of IT, this position presents a unique opportunity for a professional with a blend of information technology skills, health informatics expertise, a strong clinical background, and significant experience in PointClickCare (PCC) within Post-Acute care.

In this pivotal role, you will harness your proficiency in PointClickCare to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of inter-professional collaborative care. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining corporate office, community, and remote work opportunities.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the overall functionality of PCC, including developing downtime procedures and continually improving clinical documentation content using PCC.

  • Report key performance and resident outcome indicators from PCC to clinical and corporate leaders.

  • Integrate digital platforms with PCC to optimize user experience and inform key performance indicators related to resident experience, safety, and outcomes.

  • Provide data extraction, analytics, reporting, and visualization to inform organizational decision-making on key performance metrics, resident experience, and safety.

  • Build and maintain information databases, dashboards, and executive reports to drive compliance with provincial and federal legislation.

  • Collaborate with the Transition team on the acquisition and integration of applications into the Presbyterian Homes system.

  • Manage online survey implementation, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Build education on key technology platforms for ease of use by end-users.

  • Serve as an internal expert consultant on leveraging technology to support key organizational projects.

    What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, or related Health Care Professional degree required.

  • Experience: 5+ years of continuing care nursing or health experience.

  • Software experience: 3+ years of PointClickCare administrator experience.

  • Experience working in a large, Post-Acute care organization is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possesses strong interprofessional collaborative practice and team effectiveness skills.
