Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck in Slingerlands, NY has an opportunity to help provide great care and work as part of a close team of health care professionals! The team is looking for a RN Supervisor to work part time every other weekend 7-3pm and are willing to help train newer nurses or those looking to develop in the career of nursing!

Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck brings the full continuum of housing and residential care to the Slingerlands campus. Comprised of two ranch-style homes, each accommodating 12 residents, Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck offers private rooms and baths for each resident, and a family-style country kitchen with living/dining area. Like Eddy Village Green at Cohoes, security and technology are built in to ensure safety. Greenhouse is a pioneering effort in long term care bringing control back to the elders that live in the houses by honoring their lifelong routines and preferences. In addition to the culture change in care delivery there is also a relationship shift between nurses and the C.N.A's that manage the individual houses.

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • On behalf of the Director of Nursing, provides for the continuity of nursing services in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality nursing care to residents and families

  • Perform assessments on elder's that may have had a fall, a decline in condition or perhaps suicidal comments

  • Act as the senior liaison and administrative person on the campus and address staffing and family concerns

  • Asked to participate in auditing or QA activities

  • Demonstrates the organization’s commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees

  • Demonstrate SPHP's Standards of Behavior and Core Values

Minimum Requirements :

  • Valid NYS RN license

  • Associate’s degree in nursing

  • Current CPR and BLS or achieve with onsite training

  • 1+ yr of experience as a RN

Preferred Requirements :

  • 1+ yr of experience in a leadership role overseeing staff

  • 1 + yr of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility

  • MDS experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing

  • Highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities

  • Excellent communication in a fast pace work environment across teams on different shifts

  • Strong engagement within a team setting

  • Contribute to a strong team environment and promote teamwork within the houses

  • Leadership and mentorship skills overseeing RNs, LPNs and C.N.A staff

  • Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $58.55 per hour

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
