Job Title: Facilities Technician 4

Job Description

Summary: The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.

  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC systems and controls, and mechanical systems.

  • Maintain general and preventative maintenance including carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.

  • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.

  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.

Hard Skills

  • Building Services Knowledge

  • Mechanical/HVAC Knowledge

  • Commercial or pressure systems switching knowledge

  • Facility knowledge including HVAC and systems

  • HSE Knowledge

  • Certificated assessor for building services activities

  • Authorized Person and competent operator of Permit to Work systems

  • MS Office Applications including Microsoft Project

  • Read system drawings and fault finding on relays, PCBs, closed water systems

  • Understanding of PRVs, pumps, bore water systems, compressors, LP boilers & steam systems

  • Understanding of PLC wiring diagrams

  • Experience with invertors and working on systems with ELV

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 13 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Work Environment

Experience of having worked in a similar role within a large, diverse organization and have a proven track record of success in delivering and monitoring EHS activities. Ideally, experience of working in a continuous improvement culture. Manager or supervisory experience of contractors for both remedial service and maintenance.
