Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all industrial equipment. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure that all converting equipment and lines run continuously. Additionally, the role involves participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, performing repairs, and implementing technical solutions. The mechanic must be comfortable using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on all industrial equipment.

  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial equipment.

  • Ensure converting equipment and lines run continuously.

  • Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.

  • Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

  • Knowledge of conveyor maintenance, motors, changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.

  • 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors.

  • Comfortable with troubleshooting, mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA-regulated facility.

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
