As aProperty and Casualty Actuarywith Great West, you will apply advanced actuarial science techniques and theories to enhance the company's risk management activities while researching and developing revised rates, rating factors, and pricing models.

This role works closely with the Data and Analytics team and key business partners to deliver appropriate pricing, modeling, and product strategies to support business goals.

You will regularly have the opportunity to work on special projects in which you will assist or lead the development of new product lines or programs.

This position will report directly to the AVP of Pricing and Product Management and will work collaboratively with Product Managers and Underwriters daily.

As part of our Actuarial team, you will have decision-making authority andvariety in your work with the opportunity to touch all product lines.

We value professional development and will support your pursuit to successfully pass all actuarial exams as well as obtain insurance specific certifications. This includes ample study time, paid study materials and exam fees, and scheduled salary increases upon successful completion of each exam

**This is a Hybrid position. Three days in the office, two days remote.

Location:Corporate office in South Sioux City, NE

Our ideal candidate has:

• A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics or related field.
• Successful completion of at least three or four actuarial exams.
• Four years of property-casualty ratemaking experience, commercial auto a plus.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Excel. Experience with a programming language such as SQL, Python, or R a plus.
• A desire to learn the business and the ability to partner with various leaders.
• Ability to communicate mathematical concepts to non-technical business partners.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking skills, natural curiosity, and the ability to work efficiently with limited direct supervision.
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We do not sponsor applicants for an employment visa.
