POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs and coordinates all phases of warehouse operations including receiving, internal movements, milk station, palletizing, and shipping. Additionally, improving safety, reducing costs, improving quality, and maximizing the department’s effectiveness through long term planning and project implementation. Coordinates communication among and between Warehouse Operations, Production Planning, Technical, and Production. Warehouse Supervisor manages hourly employees in assigned area, provides appropriate training, development, ensures consistent roll out of plant policies & procedures. Manages overall waste, manage all write-ons/write-offs/and DUVs, manage cycle count program, root cause analysis to eliminate inventory variances, implementing standard routines and processes to standardize methods across Nestle USA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise day-to-day activities of assigned department.

• Provide guidance and training to hourly workforce to ensure factory goals are met.

• Meet scheduled commitments on a timely basis with respect to delivering raw/pack/halb to designated areas.

• Meet shipping and receiving schedules as well as inventory control and accuracy.

• Maintain positive employee relations, open communications while resolving employee discipline or performance issues.

• Maintain professional relationships with other departments within the plant and corporate offices.

• Prepare paperwork / reports on a timely basis.

• Confirm processes are run in accordance with SOP’s, SOPP’s and other documentation.

• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements in safety, quality, cost and SOP documentation.

• Meet ad-hoc customer requirements or to deal with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions.

• Ensure all raw material, packaging material, WIP and finished goods are handled within GMP and FEFO (first expired first out) guidelines.

• Drive cost saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of the warehouse operation. Also ensure the correct construction, control, and management of the budget of warehousing (cost budget for warehousing and possible investment requirements).

• Ensure all employees have the required level of safety training, all equipment and installations are well maintained with safety guards & devices and associates are using the appropriate PPE.

• Assure activities being performed having an environmental impact are communicated and accomplished according to the environmental management systems.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders on Inventory Control best practices for various classes of inventory: Warehouse, 3PL, In Transit

• Supervise the research for daily, weekly, monthly inventory discrepancy management.

• Backup production control team (material buying/production scheduling) as needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 - 2 years manufacturing/warehouse experience, preferable in leadership role (lead, supervisor)

SKILLS:

  • In-depth knowledge of inventory control practices and systems.

  • Ability to develop, apply and document complex processes and controls.

  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights and communicate effectively to management.

  • Exceptional demonstrated problem solving skills, must be able to effectively present information and analysis.

  • Demonstrated evidence of a strong team player who can build key relationships with team members across multiple functions throughout the organization and influence the broader organization.

  • Project Management Experience

  • Ability to ensure successful delivery of identified cost savings.

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel

  • Proficiency SAP, BW, Expert level knowledge on SAP inventory transactions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.

  • Strong ability to work across functions and divisions to deliver results.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to Travel and work beyond regular scheduled hours as required.
