Description If you're looking for an opportunity with a growing IT Software company, consider joining a dynamic team as an Accounts Receivable (A/R) detail oriented. In this role, it will be critical for you to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role will be based in the Somerset, New Jersey region and is a permanent employment opportunity.

How you will make an impact

• Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

• Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required

• Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures

• Post and balance financial data in various ledgers to reconcile bank accounts

• Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization

• Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

• Verify the correctness of documents and codes Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

• Relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Skilled with ERP systems

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

• Knowledge of account reconciliation
