Job Summary

The SAP Change Management Specialist will support all change and release management activities related to production support and projects. He/she will understand SAP change and release management using Solution Manager ChaRM, support project test cycles, training phases, AMS and ITSM and change and release management tool set-up. Collaborate with business stakeholders and consultants to support SAP change and release management activities to meet business unit needs for the implementation and support of the SAP S/4HANA and other Enterprise programs. The SAP Change & Release Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring all departmental processes documents and reference guides related to all areas of change and release management are in place and current. He/She will understand and review all related processes and procedures and ensure all constituents are aware of, and knowledgeable about the process and their role in the process and oversee and identify process improvements in areas of responsibility. He/She will understand support the publishing of project communications/newsletters to all business stakeholders. The SAP Change & Release Management Specialist will also work with the various teams and site leads to support project management activities and work as required for the deployment of SAP S4HANA within the operating subsidiaries and the holding company for Terumo in North and South America.

Job Details/Responsibilities

  • Day to day support of tracking, monitoring, and reporting SAP and related change requests.

  • Support all project test cycle related activities related to defect management for unit, regression, integrated, OQ and user acceptance testing.

  • Monitor, report and communicate change management activities.

  • Work with other Process & Technology Team(s) in the setup, maintenance, and support of all the related IT Work Instructions, Policies and Procedures.

  • Monitor SAP incidents, support ITSM system set-up and identify and report on opportunity areas for further governance through analytics and provide AMS support.

  • Responsible for support of ChaRM, ALM and change management tools and other enterprise programs and training initiatives.

  • Proactively and effectively communicate and collaborate with the SAP COE Leader, Technology Architect, Deployment Manager, PMO, Project Team and Business Stakeholders to address the need for standard Methods and Toolsets.

  • Partner with other Process & Technology Team(s) in the setup, maintenance, and support of the various SharePoint trackers and project management activities for the SAP S/4HANA implementation program.

  • Work with Consultants/Developers to clarify any requirements as needed.

  • Responsible for all aspects of support for the deliverables related to change and release management, testing, training and communication for production support and project phase related activities.

  • Partner with the business, Process and Security teams to identify process improvements.

  • Identify weaknesses or other opportunities for training improvement.

  • Timely completion and presentation of weekly/monthly/quarterly status reports to Deployment Manager, SAP COE Leader, PMO and other stakeholders.

  • Provide functional, administrative, and other IT and communications support to ad hoc initiatives in other subsidiaries to support managerial decision making.

  • Support, coordinate, and track of all production-related activities required to support successful deployments of SAP S/4HANA.

  • Facilitate issue tracking and resolution of post go live activities where required.

  • Collaborates with the AMS team on service delivery to ensure SLAs are met.

  • Collaborate, Support, and participate in the Enterprise IT Applications, ALM, LMS, training and Change management activities in other Enterprise IT Applications across other Terumo Entities as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Strong project management skills in Testing, Training, Incident Management with exposure to SAP Solution Manager ITSM, ChaRM, Enable Now, Monday.com and SAP S/4 HANA and knowledge of change and release management.

  • Must be highly motivated, confident individual who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision who is driven and able to learn new IT tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently communicate (oral and written) and present across different levels.

  • Able to work autonomously and within a team; can partner with associates at all levels of the organization and build genuine trusting relationships.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Keen sense of maturity, judgment, and diligence.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and lead testing and training activities in parallel to meet project timelines.

  • Exposure to Cloud computing applications as applicable to SAP software

  • Familiarity with SOX and IRM compliance as well as FDA CFR Part 11 software validation processes

  • Ability to perform accurately under the pressure of time constraints.

  • Understanding of overall ERP systems and standard operating procedures.

  • Must be trustworthy and professional and maintain confidentiality in all situations.

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in project management, SAP Testing, Incident Reporting, Training with familiarity with SAP Change and Release management.

  • Experience with change management processes.

  • Experience with project and reporting/analytics required.

  • Experience in other associated implementation tools like SAP Solution Manager ITSM, ChaRM, Monday.com, ServiceNow, SharePoint, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

  • Experience in Medical Device / Life Sciences industry is preferable.
