Health Advocates Network Registered Nurse in Sonyea, New York

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a facility in Sonyea, New York. These are registry positions with our company. $100 Sign-On Bonus

Pay Rate: $70 / hour

*W2

Shift details:

  • Evening/Night

  • Day/Evening with occasional nights

Job Descriptions:

  • Able to work with Incarcerated Individuals in a medium security prison. Must follow the Nursing Pledge.

  • Should have 1 year of acute/critical care experience.

  • Past wound care experience, which includes daily dressing changes using several different types of dressing including wound vacs.

  • Be able to start an IV

  • Be familiar with EKG machines and completing an EKG independently

  • Be familiar with Telemedicine

  • Be familiar with Narcan and Narcan administration

  • Ability to multi-task is a must.

  • Prioritize duties

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Written work must be legible.

  • Medication administration

  • Be able to work in a high stress environment

  • Become knowledgeable with polices and directives

  • Be able to work 8/16 hours without cell phone

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills

  • Be able to complete a comprehensive nursing assessment.

  • Vital signs

  • Pain assessments

  • Blood sugar checks with insulin administration

  • Be able to to give vaccines.

  • Patient teaching

  • Be a team player.

  • Other duties as assigned.
