SUMMARY

For assigned projects, plan, and direct construction operations to ensure successful completion of contract work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Development and implementation of schedules and work plans for assigned projects

  • Communicate with Customers and project team members to coordinate job schedules, changes and address any construction issues that arise

  • Provide direction to field personnel and ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules

  • Ensure project documentation and quantity reporting is accurate and complete

  • Develop submittals, change orders, and pay requests as assigned

  • Resolve or participate in resolving construction problems

  • Review and evaluate daily costs, timesheets, truck, and equipment usage

  • Monitor employee compliance with safety program requirements, and document and ensure corrective measures are implemented

  • Coordinate and cooperate with other departments (i.e., Quality Control, Equipment) to ensure that all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. are in place to support craft activities and project schedule

    Qualifications

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in heavy highway and site development preferred

  • Experience with asphalt, concrete, grading, and underground utility preferred

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential

  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
