SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct all the daily activities related to the studies.
• Act proactively to identify and solve problems and/or potential problems that may arise during each study.
• Set up and conduct experiments in accordance with the labs Protocols and SOPs.
• Efficiently conduct studies with minimal supervision.
• Accurately perform and record all data collected from the studies.
• Maintain meticulous and precise records of all experiments in accordance with GLP’s.
• Follow all lab safety requirements.
• The Scientist must join the weekend work rotation, after cross-training and certification.
• Help during other studies, as needed.
• Assist in the writing of reports, protocols and SOP’s.
• Write-out necessary amendments and deviations.
• Revise, update and maintain the study data packs.
• Ability to safely wear a respirator required.
• Other duties as assigned.
B.S. or M.S. degree in Toxicology, Animal Science, Biology, or Laboratory Animal Medicine is strongly preferred, equivalent hands-on laboratory experience may also be taken into consideration.
The individual holding this position must be of highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility and be proactive. He/she must be mature, well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records. Computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s) and a strong work ethic are essential requirements for this position. Adherence to GLP’s is of utmost importance.
Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with some weekends as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of South Brunswick (Dayton), NJ are encouraged to apply.
