Job Title: Entry Level Material Handler

Job Description

We are hiring for an entry-level Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for picking and packaging products for shipping. You will also load and unload trucks as needed. Additional duties include checking and verifying paperwork. You will be trained to use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and cranes. Candidates must be able to work safely and efficiently. On-the-job training will be provided. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and package products for shipping.

  • Load and unload trucks as needed.

  • Check and verify paperwork.

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and cranes.

  • Work safely and efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least 6 months of previous manufacturing or warehouse experience

  • Motivated, dependable, and good attendance

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

  • Comfortable with constant walking, standing, and bending

  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift

Work Environment

This role is based in a large open warehouse. Steel-toed shoes are required, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as needed. The available shifts are 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM and 3rd shift from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Portland, Maine.
