Pay: $35-$47/hr

Responsibilities :

As an Automation Scientist, you will implement and manage automated workflows to support pre-clinical studies. Collaborating with the team, you’ll operate lab equipment, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute automation strategies for DMPK.

  • Collaborate across teams to implement and support automation workflows.

  • Develop workflows for assays like immunoassays, peptide stability, and sample preparation.

  • Optimize lab space and automation processes.

  • Author and update SOPs.

  • Train scientists on automation platforms.

  • Manage data integrity through automated processes.

  • Explore new automation technologies to enhance discovery programs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automated Sciences, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.

  • Strong scientific expertise in laboratory equipment and bioanalytical assays.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with liquid handling systems (e.g., Hamilton, Labcyte, Tecan).

  • Ability to program and operate automated lab devices (washers, dispensers, centrifuges).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interpret scientific data from robotic platforms.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with robotic system schedulers (e.g., Biosero, Thermo).

  • Background in biotech/pharma or lab automation.

  • Programming skills (VB, C#, LabVIEW), electro-mechanical design, and familiarity with electronic lab notebooks.
