Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceive & execute novel scientific research or development that achieves projects & area goals.

  • Generate new scientific proposals & lead those efforts.

  • Investigate, identify, develop, & optimize new methods & techniques.

  • Act as a lead in area of expertise & critically evaluate relevant scientific & regulatory advances & integrate this knowledge into research or development programs.

  • Conceive & implement novel experimental approaches to answer scientific questions & enable the development of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of cancer.

  • Responsible for conceiving & performing studies, as well as analyzing & interpreting results & effectively communicate findings in a group setting.

  • Maintain solid understanding & hands-on-experience assessing key cancer cell signaling pathways such as investigating, identifying, developing, & optimizing new methods & techniques that inform on pathway/drug mechanisms of action such as flow cytometry, biochemical assays, reporter assays, or gene over-expression/knockdown.

  • Identify, develop, & optimize new methods & techniques that inform on ADC/payload mechanism of actions using flow cytometry, biochemical assays, reporter assays or gene overexpression/knockdown.

  • Perform flow cytometry studies to interrogate antibody binding to cells of interest and analysis using FlowJo.

  • Generate & analyze omic datasets such as scRNAseq, RNA-seq or phospho-proteomic datasets to identify pharmacodynamic (PD) or resistance biomarkers.

  • Responsible for validating PD & resistance biomarker utilizing immunoblot, qRT-PCR or flow cytometry.

  • Understand & adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug & radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, & animal care where applicable.

  • Responsible for leading presentations at International Scientific meetings.

  • Manage & oversee lower-level scientists within division.

  • Conduct medium- or high- throughput compound screening to identify combination partners that are clinically actionable & demonstrate the strength of their interaction utilizing synergy calculating software

Qualifications

Must possess a PhD or foreign academic equivalent in Cancer Cell Biology, Biology, Medical Biophysics, or a highly related field of study with academic or industrial background in the following:

  • conceiving & implementing novel experimental approaches to answer scientific questions & enable the development of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of cancer;

  • solid understanding & hands-on-experience assessing key cancer cell signaling pathways such as investigating, identifying, developing, & optimizing new methods & techniques that inform on pathway/drug mechanisms of action such as flow cytometry, biochemical assays, reporter assays, or gene over-expression/knockdown;

  • generating & analyzing -omic datasets such as sc-RNAseq, RNA-seq or phospho-proteomic datasets to identify pharmacodynamic (PD) or resistance biomarkers;

  • validating PD & resistance biomarker utilizing immunoblot, qRT-PCR or flow cytometry; &

  • conduct medium- or high- throughput compound screening to identify combination partners that are clinically actionable & demonstrate the strength of their interaction utilizing synergy calculating software.

Salary Range: $157,533.20 - $181,500 per year
