Tortorella Swimming Pools LLC General Laborer in Southampton, New York

General Laborers - 6 fulltime, temporary, peakload (H-2B) jobs available 03/03/2025-11/30/2025.

Employer: Tortorella Swimming Pools LLC, 1764 County Road 39, Southampton, NY 11968.

Duties: Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material, tools and supplies needed. Move materials to and from storage or production areas, loading delivery vehicles/work trucks. Carry materials, tools and supplies from storage or production areas as well as delivery vehicles/ work trucks and return them after use. Clean work areas & other related General Laborers activities as per SOC/OES 53-7062 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.

Terms: Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment-related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. lf overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.

Requirements: must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs.

On-the-job training available. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Must have valid driver's license.

Transportation provided to and from job sites in Nassau, Queens, Suffolk Counties, NY and NY-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA, from designated location: 296 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946. No experience or education required.

Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold.

Work hours: Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm. Possible weekend / holiday work. 40 hours/week at $20.66-23.00/hour. Possible OT at $30.99-34.50/hour. At employer's discretion, possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed). Possible wage advances if requested by the worker may be provided with pay back schedule in accordance with the New York State labor laws.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

3/4s Guarantee: The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
