ManpowerGroup Controls Software Designer A in Southfield, Michigan

Our client, a leading robotics manufacturer, is seeking a Controls Software Designer to join their growing team.

As a Controls Software Designer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting the Robotics and Automation teams. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a passion for robotics and a strong work ethic.

Job Title: Controls Software Designer A

Location: Southfiled, MI

Pay Range: $ 33-37/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Design and commission electrical and fluid control systems for industrial applications (welders, robots, assembly lines, etc.)

  • Develop software programs and documentation using engineering and computer science principles.

  • Troubleshoot connection issues and facilitate the build process.

  • Commission and debug equipment at both the build shop and customer sites.

  • Manage resources and delegate tasks to ensure project success.

  • Make independent decisions based on experience and project requirements.

What’s Needed?

  • Proficiency in Step 7 and Tia Portal V16

  • Ability to travel (on-site commissioning required)

  • Strong understanding of engineering and computer science principles

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
