ManpowerGroup Controls Software Designer A in Southfield, Michigan

Our client, a leading robotics manufacturer, seeks a Controls Software Designer A to join their growing team.

As a Controls Software Designer A, you'll be part of the Engineering department, supporting the Robotics and Automation teams. The ideal candidate is a passionate problem-solver with a strong work ethic and a love for all things robotic.

Job Title: Controls Software Designer A

Location: Southfield, MI

Pay Range: $33-37/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Design and commission electrical and fluid control systems for industrial applications (think welders, robots, assembly lines, etc.).

  • Develop software programs and clear documentation using your engineering and computer science knowledge.

  • Troubleshoot connection issues and keep the build process running smoothly.

  • Commission and debug equipment at both the build shop and customer sites.

  • Manage resources and delegate tasks to ensure project success.

  • Make independent decisions based on your experience and project needs.

What’s Needed?

  • Experience with TIA Portal V16 and HMI Pro.

  • Ability and willingness to travel (on-site commissioning required).

  • Solid understanding of engineering and computer science principles.

  • A knack for problem-solving and critical thinking.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
