Your day at NTT DATA

The Manager, Inside Sales is a management role, responsible for overseeing and managing the inside sales team's daily operations in order to drive sales and achieve organizational goals.

The role works closely with client managers and sales specialists with the primary focus on implementing effective inside / tele sales strategies, training and coaching the team, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure consistent success.

The Manager, Inside Sales ensures their team is equipped with the required tools, processes and systems to effectively achieve their sales targets while simultaneously ensuring a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trains, mentors, coaches, and supervises inside/tele sales team, ensuring they have the required tools, processes and systems to achieve their targets.

  • Prioritizes and allocates resources.

  • Responsible for sales development, setting targets, and ensuring that revenue is generated.

  • Responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients to maximize sales and client satisfaction.

  • Acts as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, providing product information, and offering solutions to meet their needs.

  • Focuses on building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Handles contract renewals and negotiates terms to ensure client retention.

  • Identifies and managed improvements in the inside sales processes.

  • Monitors and reports on sales metrics to senior management/leadership.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Advanced knowledge of the organization’s products/services with the ability to explain their features and benefits to clients.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.

  • Advanced capability in negotiating contract terms, pricing, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue and client retention.

  • Advanced proficiency in delivering engaging and persuasive presentations to clients during product demonstrations and sales pitches.

  • Advanced awareness of industry trends, competitor analysis, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.

  • Advanced proficiency in operationally managing an inside sales team.

  • Advanced proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Advanced analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Advanced experience in a similar inside sales management role, preferably gained within a global technology services organization.

  • Advanced experience managing an inside sales / tele sales team.

  • Advanced sales and client engagement experience

  • Advanced experience negotiating with clients and vendors.

  • Advanced experience achieving sales targets/revenue

  • Experience in Cloud, Network and or Security Sales
