Henry Ford Health System Reg. Respiratory Therapist- 36 hours per week; 3-12 hour DAY shifts- Southfield in Southfield, Michigan

$7,500 Sign on Bonus- based on eligibility

Department: Respiratory Therapy

FULL Time(36 hours per week); 7:00am-7:30pm rotating weekends, holiday & hard to fill days

GENERAL SUMMARY

  • Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

  • Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.

  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

  • Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.

  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association accepted. -

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted. -

  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. -

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted.
