Global Controller - Support for Engineering and Technology Teams

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Controller specializing in providing financial support for Engineering and Technology Teams to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of supporting engineering and technology initiatives on a global scale. Your primary duties will include financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a focus on optimizing support efficiency and aligning financial strategies with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis process for supporting engineering and technology teams, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop strategic financial plans and objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts for initiatives supporting engineering and technology, ensuring alignment with overall corporate financial goals and objectives.

  • Conduct detailed variance analysis to track actual performance against budgeted and forecasted figures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Partner closely with engineering and technology teams to understand project requirements, evaluate investment opportunities, and provide financial insights to support decision-making.

  • Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls related to supporting engineering and technology initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows, improve cost transparency, and maximize ROI on initiatives supporting engineering and technology teams.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in supporting engineering and technology initiatives, incorporating relevant insights into financial strategies and decision-making processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis, with a focus on supporting engineering and technology teams.

  • Strong understanding of engineering and technology processes, systems, and terminology, with experience working closely with engineering and technology teams.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic financial plans, forecast future financial performance, and analyze variances against budgeted targets.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel; experience with financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or PowerBI is a plus.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a passion for driving results and continuous improvement in financial performance.
