Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to play a pivotal role in consolidating and validating actual budgets and forecasts of key performance metrics. This position involves analyzing financial and operational results, providing value-adding recommendations to various departments, and administering reporting systems. The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will also support the development of models, assist in budget processes, and engage in ad-hoc analysis.

Job Duties:

  • Manage accurate entity structure, dataset, and calculations in the budget/forecast system.

  • Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of templates within various systems.

  • Coordinate segments of the annual budget process, consolidate results, and review budget models for errors; act as a liaison between departments regarding budgeting and forecasting.

  • Analyze financial and operational results versus forecasts and plans, researching variances and understanding root causes.

  • Maintain and provide support for various internal and external reporting models.

  • Monitor internal Labor Dashboards to ensure accuracy and research variances as necessary.

  • Administer various systems related to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Assist with corporate cash flow modeling and develop analyses to validate existing forecasts; support strategic initiatives and critical financial decisions.

  • Develop key reporting within various systems to provide timely and actionable financial results.

  • Participate in the implementation and development of forecast/budget software; assist in evaluating and developing additional models.

  • Disseminate financial information as needed by attending various meetings.

  • Provide financial support to the Operations department as requested.

  • Evaluate company systems and processes for accumulating and reporting data, providing value-adding recommendations.

  • Work closely with other departments to understand and document variances between actuals and budgets.

  • Perform data analytics over large datasets, summarizing information into executive-level summaries.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of various models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and critical financial decisions.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)

  • 3 or more years of related experience including 2 or more years with a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm (Required)

  • Working knowledge of multiple budgeting techniques and budgeting tools/software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting/budgeting software programs

  • Prior experience with accounting software conversion projects is a plus

  • Prior experience with Tableau, Yardi, Workiva, Netsuite, and/or Anaplan software is a plus
