Sierra Nevada Corporation SNC Early Childhood Education Teacher in Sparks, Nevada

As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will collaborate with a passionate team to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for infants and children. You will actively foster a fun and creative atmosphere and develop quality relationships with each child under your care, while leading activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. You will also implement an explorative curriculum that includes active free play and provides a flexible yet predictable schedule during which children can learn and grow. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe, and that all children are supervised at all times.

Must-haves:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Current negative TB test.

  • Required to obtain a Sheriff's Fingerprint Card, and attend 24 hours of continuing education courses in the area of Early Childhood Development per year.

  • Must have proven communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to demonstrate compassion, fairness, cultural awareness, flexibility, and respectfulness.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in child development and knowledge of early education theories and practices

  • CPR and First-Aid certified or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment
