We are currently hiring for both 2nd and 3rd shift Materials Supervisor positions at our Spartanburg, SC facility.

The Materials Supervisor will provide leadership and support to the manufacturing teams to create a safe, productive and profitable environment. This role will plan and facilitate the work of team members to support on-time completion of production schedules, quality, housekeeping, and safety objectives. This role will develop high performance work teams with ongoing coaching and direction, both formal and informal, enabling a People First Culture.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead materials team members in various areas of part supply overseeing processes such as material receiving and the shipping of finished goods.

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support for the team members, ensuring the timely and accurate supply of parts to production lines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support production schedules to meet manufacturing targets.

  • Deliver performance feedback and guide the professional development of team members.

  • Implement and enforce quality, safety, 5s standards, promoting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance throughout material handling processes.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify, define, and resolve material flow issues, leveraging cross-departmental support to implement effective solutions.

  • Monitor and address material or process nonconformance issues, ensuring quick and thorough resolution to maintain production flow.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by implementing 5s in work areas, ensuring tools and materials are readily available for operations.

  • Champion Lean manufacturing initiatives, leading Kaizen events and identifying process improvements to drive efficiency in material handling and supply chain operations.

  • Create and maintain value stream maps and standard work instructions for all material handling processes.

  • Accurately maintain company records and documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED with three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience.

  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong willingness to learn.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.

  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to plan and organize projects.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
