Support ELL students in Regional Summer School in collaboration with content area teachers.

Program Dates:

• July 2 & 3, seven (7) hours per day

• July 10, Staff only, seven (7) hours

• July 14- August 18, four (4) hours per day (no school 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1)

• August 19 & 20 seven (7) hours per day, proctoring and scoring exams

• August 21, hourly, as determined by summer school principal

• Must be able to work all dates

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Modify lessons for ELL students in collaboration with content teacher.

• Work with teachers to understand the needs of ELL students.

• Collaborate with administration to create optimal student schedules.

• Provide necessary test accommodations for assessments.

• Collaborate with testing coordinator and home schools to identify interpreters for exams.

• Establish and maintain home contact with families with limited, or no English-speaking ability.

• Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.

Job Qualifications

Educational: Appropriate NYS Teacher certification required.
