As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and establishing strong client relationships in the Pacific Northwest. The Outside Sales Representative at Knife River Prestress is responsible for developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the precast market in the Pacific Northwest. This role requires meeting with clients frequently to discuss their project pipelines and how precast solutions can add value to their projects. The ideal candidate will maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales, clearly communicate project timelines, budgets, and next step requirements with the sales team, and serve as an intermediary between our customers and the project management team as needed. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: oDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal staff to optimize the sales process. oFrequently meet with clients to discuss their project pipelines and demonstrate the value of precast solutions. oManage ongoing client relationships during and after project completion to ensure satisfaction and foster future sales opportunities. Market Development: oGain and maintain industry knowledge on the use of precast concrete. oBuild relationships, offer design support, and learn project processes with owners (e.g., data centers, parking structures, towers), architects, structural engineers, and general contractors. oProvide preconstruction ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) and best value job costing to contractors. Proposal and Presentation Development: oDevelop proposals and presentations in coordination with the design team. oCoordinate the development of technical content to support sales efforts. Project Handoffs and Support oEnsure smooth handoff of projects to the project management team post-award. oProvide additional estimating services as needed and assist with project management as required. CRM and Communication: oUtilize CRM to effectively communicate efforts to sales and production teams. oCommunicate project timelines, budgets, and next step requirements clearly with the sales team. Travel and Remote Work: oTravel frequently to meet with clients and work remotely as needed. From Eugene to Seattle along the I5 Corridor. oWork outside of typical business hours when project workloads fluctuate. Additional Responsibilities: oDiscuss and plan for capital expenditures and operational expenditures as needed. oWork with site production managers and piece tracker to optimize production schedules and baseline products. Compensation: $70,000- $100,000 Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: oBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. oExperience in quantity take-offs for concrete and/or building enclosure components is a plus.
