As a Chemist I at Honeywell, you will employ critical thinking and use your knowledge of chemistry fundamentals to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under direct supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented chemists to develop and optimize analytical test methods, conduct experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development of Honeywell's next generation of products. You will be a part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of our methods and programs. You will report directly to our Chemist Supervisor and work out of our Spokane, WA location (please note this is not a remote or hybrid role). In this role, you will impact the development of innovative solutions and contribute to the success of our projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run chemical experiments

  • Perform chemistry tests

  • Develop and validate quality control test methodologies

  • Provide technical expertise in analytical chemistry and instrument operation and maintenance

  • Provide high-quality and timely analysis

  • Generate continuous improvement ideas

  • Ensure compliance to the Honeywell Spokane Quality Management System

  • The salary for this position is ($59200 - 88,800). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science degree.

  • 6+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment, which may combine educational experience plus working experience.

WE VALUE

  • Experience with analytical instrumentation

  • Experience with optical microscopy

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
