Position Details:

 

Summary of Duties:

 

This position coordinates research projects within Promoting Research Initiatives in Substance Use and Mental Health (PRISM). This position will prepare human subjects applications, collaborates in the development of project study design and implementation, conduct study visits, coordinate data management and collection, prepare manuscripts for publication, and assist in budget maintenance and day to day study oversight.

 

This position will work on a range of research projects, including the evaluation of individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges, the implementation of contingency management interventions, community health research, data entry using REDCap, and overall data management. A primary focus will be a study examining whether modifications to contingency management for alcohol use disorder improve the intervention's effectiveness for those who use alcohol.

Required Qualifications:

 

Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Access.

 

• Demonstrated ability with strong written/oral communication and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects.

 

• Willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Experience working in a research environment.

 

• Excellent proofreading skills, and a strong attention to detail.

 

• Experience working with internet applications.

Monthly Salary: $3,317 to $ 4,410 | Range 38 | Step A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step.
