What you will be doing:

Shift: Mon-Fri (2pm-10pm)

Wage: $18hr. (Shift Differential Included, Starting Wage Depends on Experience, Sign-on Bonus eligible; Paid Lunch)

As a Sheeting Operator, you will operate the sheeter machine and equipment within the established guidelines, efficiencies and run speeds while producing a quality product. This is the first step in the folding carton process. You will be responsible for the quality of the sheeting. 

Essential Functions Include:

Follow quality checks and provide information for the next department. Follow and sign off make ready checklist for each job run and add to job ticket sleeve. Review production run quality checklist for each sheeted load, and initial. You will be responsible for reading, understanding, and verifying instructions on job ticket are accurate. Ensure load tags include job number, customer, sheet size, caliper, load number, and operator initials.

Keep the machine and equipment running in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring efficiencies, run speeds, and down time are within specified limits. Assist with troubleshooting and adjusting problems during runs.

Keep work area neat, clean, and free of hazards and maintain chemicals and rags on sheeter.

Prep, stage, and maintain rolls for jobs.

Ability to read and understand the job ticket and sheeting schedule.

Operators are responsible for contacting a supervisor when quality standards cannot be met.

Set up and run jobs in the most efficient manner as possible. Assist where needed in printing/sheeting department. Understand how to run all sheeting machines including make ready, Dadex, and quick change functions on Maxon.

Train operators on machine usage.  

Perform P/M on unit, change belts, blades, and trouble shoot problems.

While the regular working cycle of this production is usually five days a week, Monday through Friday, working hours may vary as specified by management. Must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.

Regular and predictable attendance is required between the assigned start and end times of work.

Assure and maintain safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
