Whitsons Culinary Group Food Service Worker - Spotswood School Nutrition in Spotswood, New Jersey
- Prepares and serves food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.(prep breakfast bags for next day service.-a chart of what and the needed daily numbers are in the kitchen posted.) * Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.(this is to be done as needed and not to the detriment of other responsibilities.) * Make sandwiches daily for service.( A par number is available in the kitchen.) * Utilizing a Slicing machine for preping for a deli station - slicing deli meals along with any other deli toppings that would need to be sliced - setting up deli station and replenishing as needed * Set up cold food area to include a la carte items and sandwiches. * Complies with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling. * Treats all faculty, students and staff with respect. * Complies with all client location security protocols and guidelines. * Checks and stores incoming supplies. * Follows assigned break schedules. * Collects and strips trays for dishwashing and participates in ware washing daily. * Stores dishes, pans, pots, etc.( in the designated locations) * Participates in being part of the team to include putting away the truck when needed. * Attends all mandatory in-service programs and maintains a positive attitude. * Run the POS daily and use cashier sign off sheets according to instructions Payrate: 15.25/hour * High school graduate or equivalent. * Must complete all Whitsons and other mandated training as necessary * Must be able to lift 50 pounds with no limitations. * Food Handlers certification preferred but not required to start.-will train right attitude * Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments. * Always present a positive and professional image.
