HP Inc. Solution Manager in Spring, Texas

As a Solution Manager you will be considered a team leader that manages end to end business outcomes of highly complex technical scope across the end-to-end HP ecosystem and customer lifecycle. Acts as a subject matter expert providing analysis of information and joining recommendations on solution functionality across these ecosystems in partnership with your team and business partners. Serves as a key participant in stakeholder teams representing the Organization and work to be delivered.

The role requires that you become a recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, strategy, and process. You will contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. The expectation is that you will successfully operate in the most complex disciplines in which the company must operate including participating in large, cross-division functional activities that affect the organization's long-term goals and OKRs (objectives and key results). As a leader you will routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives and be expected to exercise independent judgment within defined or undefined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. This role is expected to have mastery in clearly communicating the state of project positions and will require you to prepare and communicate recommendations to stakeholders and accountable managers as well as provide executive level audience updates on occasion.

Responsibilities and Key Delivery Areas:

  • Works with business, finance, technical solution architects, asset product managers and developers to research, analyze and recommend components of solutions to problems

  • Prepares technology mapping of the current state and recommended state as appropriate for the solution they are assigned to Single source of accountability and communication on behalf of the Organization within the stakeholder teams they participate in

  • Convert business requirements into business outcomes/solution requirements that are utilized by architects and development resources in the form of end-to-end use cases, solution design documents and initiatives. These requirements are aligned to the originating business requirements that will support the design

  • Compiles sizing and costing as part of the analysis needed for the recommended solution

  • Leads Analysis and Design sessions for multiple assets and scope

  • Creates and manages the Solution Packet framework for the accepted design

  • Ensures that the delivery execution progress supports the outcomes needed and aligned with stakeholders

  • Prepares end-to-end test case or demo for the stakeholders in collaboration with the delivery execution project manager

  • Works closely with multiple Delivery Execution teams to enable regular communication as to development and testing status, completes executive dashboards as needed

Education and Experience Required:

  • 7 - 10 years of industry experience with 5+ years' experience in directly related businessDegree in Engineering, Science or Computer Science disciple

  • Masters or MBA highly preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of IT development and services industry, both agile and waterfall

  • Highly developed skills to analyze problems, solve and communicate their resolutions effectively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and influence skills for all levels of the organization

  • JIRA and Test Rail experience

  • Prior Business Analyst experience preferred
