Position Summary:

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Sales Planning Manager (Sr. SPM), a pivotal role in shaping and executing the national sales strategy for our assigned categories. Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy Planning, you will lead the strategic development and execution of sales elements for our brands through meticulous planning and the 4Ps framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Drive the strategic development and execution of sales plans for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with brand goals.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with field sales, brand teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution and goal attainment. Develop communication materials for organization-wide use.

  • Analysis & Optimization: Track business progress, analyze past strategies, and develop tactics to achieve category objectives. Optimize trade spending and ensure program efficiency.

  • Forecasting & Planning: Manage gross sales goals, trade budgets, and volume forecasts. Provide critical input to category AOP and demand forecasts.

  • Leadership & Relationship Building: Lead the sales planning process, model Tyson Foods\' core values, and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties:

  • Forecast and manage gross sales goals and trade budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to Category Business Plans and trade spending strategies.
  • Develop and monitor 4Ps tactics aligned with category strategies.
  • Conduct post-analysis of strategies and initiatives to inform future plans.
  • Lead and maintain sales goal processes and trade allocation programs.
  • Analyze business data and collaborate with field sales for insights.
  • Provide key input during the S&OP process and manage ad-hoc category projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree required. MBA or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working with North American packaged goods categories preferred. Headquarter and field sales and/or branded marketing experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Highly developed skillset within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Communication Skills: Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with sales organization and internal BU/Supply Chain partners.
  • Special Skills: Strong financial acumen, including in-depth financial analysis and resulting impact to business. Expert-level analytical ability using proprietary and syndicated data sources. Formal experience in sales planning and category analytics.
  • Travel: Some travel may be required
