The Springfield Police Department is seeking individuals to participate in the Police Patrol Officer Lateral examination process. Individuals can qualify under two separate requirements 1) must have a minimum eighteen (18) months experience out of the last three (3) years employed as a full-time police officer; graduated from a full-time certified police academy and successfully completed probation in previous position. Officers hired as a lateral entry under these requirements will be paid a salary consistent with the After 12 months or After 24 months rate based on their experience and as provided in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. 2) minimum three (3) years experience out of the last five (5) years employed as a full time police officer; graduated from a full-time certified police academy or a part-time certified police academy with the full-time transition course. Officers hired as a lateral entry under these requirements will be paid a salary consistent with the After 36 months rate as provided in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. All individuals training and experience must either qualify or would likely qualify the officer to become certified in the State of Illinois upon written request to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. \$5,000 Relocation Bonus for all Lateral Officers\ *2nd Year Probationary Patrol Officer \$83,428.60\ *3rd Year Probationary Patrol Officer \$88,063.52\ Patrol Officer \$92,698.44 *SUBJECT TO CHANGE PURSUANT TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
