To thrive in this Accounting Clerk position and advance your career with a well-known, successful organization, you will need to take responsibility for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assist in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Major responsibilities

• Assist with general accounting tasks, including G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects

• Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

• Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances

• Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

• Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

• Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

• Add financial information to journals and ledgers

  Requirements - Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Expertise in data entry

• Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• 1+ years of accounting experience required

• Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
