Accountant Job Type - Contract / Temporary to Hire Pay Rate - \$21.00 - \$25.00 / Hourly Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in the Greater Springfield area, Massachusetts. The role is within the construction industry where the selected candidate will be tasked with helping with AIA billing. This role will be based in a traditional office environment. Responsibilities: Assist with AIA billing activities to ensure accurate and timely processing Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data related to billing and account reconciliation Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all billing activities Collaborate with other team members to streamline billing processes Handle account reconciliations to ensure all financial records are in order Respond to customer inquiries related to billing and provide necessary assistance Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action on delinquent payments Process customer credit applications in a timely and accurate manner Maintain customer credit records with the utmost accuracy Resolve any customer credit inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with AIA Billing and general billing procedures highly preferred Understanding of basic accounting principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
