ASSOCIATED ELECTRIC COOP Environmental Intern in Springfield, Missouri

AECI is offering dynamic, hands-on internships in our Environment, Health, and Safety (EHandS) Department at our Headquarters in Springfield for Summer 2025!

Who Were Looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in an environmental science, biology, chemistry or a related applied science field at the time of the internship.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong statistical and analytical background
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint is desired
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the development of air emissions tracking and compliance programs.
  • Update environmental compliance and procedure documents
  • EHandS website maintenance and SharePoint development
  • Manipulation and analysis oflarge data sets using proprietary software and Microsoft products
  • SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) inspections
