The IT Technician is critically responsible for providing hands-on, on-site IT support to ensure seamless operations and strict adherence to system compliance at our manufacturing site. This role serves as the front line for IT troubleshooting, user support, and systems maintenance, enabling efficient and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-User Support Champion: Quickly resolve IT issues to boost productivity and minimize downtime.
  • System Specialist: Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems across various technologies, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
  • Operational Support: Maintain and support site-level applications, equipment, and IoT devices crucial to the manufacturing process.
  • Network Administrator: Ensure secure, reliable network communications between the plant and corporate office, including management of firewalls and VPNs.
  • Project Leader: Manage IT projects with a focus on scope, timing, and cost, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Compliance Keeper: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and cybersecurity best practices in an industrial environment.
  • Technology Trainer: Conduct training sessions for staff on new software, hardware, and IT security practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Project Management: Proven skills in managing IT operations and support in a manufacturing setting.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to solve complex technical problems effectively under pressure.
  • Customer Focus: Strong dedication to providing excellent user support with a positive attitude.
  • Tech Savvy: Knowledge of manufacturing systems, applications, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with changing environments and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 3-5 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 0-3 years of experience in IT support.
  • Certifications: ITIL, CompTIA A , Network , or relevant manufacturing IT certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems, database management, and industrial control systems is highly desirable.
  • Legal Status: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
