Job Summary:

Provides individual, group, family and/or other practical counseling, utilizing his/her experience and ability to meet the needs of the client and the goals of treatment, and engages in any other activities that meet those needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, in detail, client situations and necessary interventions at daily team meetings and on an as needed basis.

  • Assist supervisees in identification of referral needs, effective management of their time, including assuring that each is within the acceptable range of staff to client ratio.

  • Be readily available to serve as the backup to supervisees when they are unavailable or in need of additional expertise.

  • Become involved in direct crisis intervention during regular business hours and as needed on an on-call basis after hours and/or on weekends.

  • Regularly review and monitor written documentation, providing corrective feedback and employee disciplined as needed, to assure compliance with documentation requirements.

  • Participate in the quality assurance process both in presenting and facilitating the presenting of cases and situations and giving input in cases and situations.

  • Facilitate the hiring of new staff as needed.

  • Review all expense reports and certify that mileage claimed is reasonable and for medically necessary activities.

  • Ensure that cross trainings are done and documented per ACT standards.

  • Ensure that quarterly ACT-TAY outcome reports are sent to DBH in a timely fashion.

Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field.
