General Description

The Treasury Operations Risk Specialist I is responsible for ongoing due diligence for customers using Online Banking and Treasury Services. Maintains a foundational knowledge of consumer online and treasury products and services as well as related policies, risk management programs, rules and regulations, in order to perform due diligence and assist internal and external customer. Assists with daily operational tasks and reviews, works with vendors on errors or enhancements, and may perform basic administrative functions for systems used by the assigned departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gathers and evaluates data and performs routine calculations to assist in the preparation of a wide variety of spreadsheet tasks including administrative reports, summaries, tables, statements, risk assessments, customer audits, etc. Prepares forms, reports, and a wide variety of word processing tasks, including external and internal correspondence. Works regularly with Officers and Executives of the bank on risk assessments approvals and customer exception items. This duty is performed about 45% of the time.

  • Maintains a foundational knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, and product lines for the assigned department, as well as all systems used. Attends relevant training to increase industry knowledge. This duty is performed about 20% of the time.

  • Escalates more complex customer and internal inquires and/or issues as well as system errors/product failures, including any issues requiring a case to be logged with a third party vendor, to appropriate senior or management staff. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.

  • Maintains proficiency in all departmental duties. Assists team with daily operational tasks according to established procedures and policies in an efficient, timely, and professional manner. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.

  • Answers both internal and external customer inquiries received via phone, email, secure message, mail, and/or fax in a professional and timely manner. Works closely with internal and external customers to ensure the highest level of customer service, using foundational knowledge of departmental policies and procedures. Provides direct support and feedback to customers during the due diligence process. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.

  • With the guidance of the department manager, contributes to special projects within the department, including but not limited to, gathering data and implementing new processes based on project guidelines. This duty is performed about 5% of the time.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).

  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned

    Education and Experience Requirements

    High school diploma or GED

  • Some college and/or equivalent relevant work experience

  • 1 year of related experience and/or training

  • Regular computer support, basic software support, database analysis, and installation.

  • Intermediate experience with alphanumeric data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Processing

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

    Certificate/License Requirements

    The following certifications are preferred but not require: APRP, NCP, and AAP.

    Travel Requirements

    Travel is required to attend training and conferences as needed.
