Cabela's Banquet Chef - White River Conference Center in Springfield, United States
POSITION SUMMARY :
Primarily responsible for the planning, organization and execution of banquets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review BEO on a daily basis. 10%
Supervise and coordinates all activities of cooks and kitchen staff who are enaged in food preperation. 15%
Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing to staff. 10%
Participates in full inventories. 10%
Manage and control food requirements and food/labor costs 15%
Maintain and control systems and procedures and ensure the banquet kitchen is prepared for the following day. 10%
Responsible for safety and sanitation. 10%
Ensure adequacy of supplies at all cooking stations. 10%
Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order. 10%
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience : Minimum of 5 years in a high volume banquet kitchen and a minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de partie
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Strong knowledge of food safety,
Ability to work flexible hours and days
Knowledge of current and updated culinary trends
Knowledge of current and updated culinary trends
Ability to lead and mentor a team of culinary professionals
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications- Word, Excel, Outlook
Basic Computer Skills- using basic hardware and software
Ability to stand for extended period of times.
Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy objects.
Ability to lift 50 lbs
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Light Travel may be Required
