Amentum has an excellent opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to join our team in our Springfield, VA location.

The selected candidate will perform routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles to manage various renovation and infrastructure upgrade projects.

Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance .

Responsibilities

• Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.

• Implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activitiesEnsures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.

• Acts as the primary customer contact for all construction project field activities.

• Ensures all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.

• Functions as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project.

• Under minimal supervision, manages small to medium size projects or a major geographic area on a mega project.

• Responsible to a member of the Project Managers job family or the Operations Manager job family.

• Completed work is reviewed for desired results.

• Establishes field objectives and procedures within company guidelines as necessitated by conditions at the job site.

• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Knowledge

Education: Bachelor's degree in a Construction related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience. Experience: 8+ years construction and project related experience. Possesses a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management. This is a journey level position and the first level of Construction Management. Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel.

Outdoor environment with exposure to weather; walking on uneven ground; lifting; carrying; griping; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills; must use required personal protective equipment; and must be able to work under deadlines.
