Native American Technology Corporation Multi-Media Editor in Springfield, Virginia
NATECH is recruiting for a Journeyman Editor to join our team supporting the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) through the Multi-Intelligence Analytical and Collection Support Services (MACSS) contract with our partner BAE Systems. All personnel must have current TS/SCI clearance to be considered and must be willing to undergo a counter-intelligence (CI) or a full scope (FS) polygraph if required and be subject to NGAs Security Financial Disclosure (NSFD) Program. Job Duties:
- This individual will provide a full range of support in the production and dissemination of finished products, specifically, working with analytic customers (authors).
- Conduct final reviews of text, graphics and other formats for intelligence products.
- Formulate simple queries for relevant databases, produce publications in accordance to standards.
- Possess professional-level expertise with electronic publishing applications - Microsoft Office Suite, QuarkXpress, Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, Acrobat; structured authoring software - SGML, XML, and HTML.
Required Education and experience:
- At least 3 years of editing experience along with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Journalism or English OR at least 5 years of editing experience without the specified degree.
- Must possess an active TS SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI or Full Scope Poly.
- Working knowledge with electronic publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, and FrameMaker.
- Working knowledge with structured authoring software (SGML, XML and HTML) and expert ability to format documents using such software. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the following applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Worldwide Web and multimedia technologies.
- Must be willing to take an editor exam (provided by NGA) to assess current capabilities to perform the required tasks of the position
