POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Quality Control Inspector is tasked with ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the production of high-quality liquid and powder products Nutritional and Dietary Supplements. This role involves inspecting products and components at various stages of the manufacturing process—before and during production—to ensure they meet customer specifications and uphold Supra Naturals' high quality standards.

  

Essential Responsibilities:

This position will work the following shift:  Monday through Thursday 2pm to 12:30am

  • Adherence to GMPs: Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Pre-production Inspection: Examine raw materials and components before manufacturing begins to confirm they meet quality standards.

  • In-process Inspection: Monitor and inspect products during various stages of production to ensure they adhere to specified quality criteria.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and any corrective actions taken.

  • Cooperate with Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA team to maintain pre-established quality assurance protocols.

  • Non-compliance Resolution: Identify and address any deviations from quality assurance standards promptly, ensuring corrective measures are followed and implemented.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing efforts to improve production processes and product quality.

  • Training and Compliance: support the Quality Assurance team with training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and GMP compliance.

  • Customer Specifications: Ensure all products meet specific customer requirements and specifications.

    EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with 1-2 years of experience in quality control. Experience in manufacturing nutritional or dietary supplements, or a closely related field, is preferred.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to solve practical problems where standardization is limited.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Strong background and understanding of GMP and SOPs.

  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

  • Experience within manufacturing fast pace is a plus.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Ensure that quality is prioritized in every product while also meeting deadlines.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

    The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Mainly manufacturing environment which may include standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, lifting up to 50 lbs., confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surfaces.  Overtime will be required based on manufacturing hours.
