Description
Accurately receipt student payments and revenues to the proper account. Balance daily receipts to the cash reports. Prepare daily bank deposits. Fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction and revenue objectives. Position is expected to understand, cross train, and perform duties in functions related to Student Records, Financial Services, Financial Aid, and the Registrar areas within the University One-Stop Area.
Examples of Duties
Performs various day-to-day cash deposits for students and University department. Ensures data us accurately posted and updated. Maintain and post electronic payments from multiple data sources. Balance daily receipts to the cash reports. Prepare daily bank deposits.

Perform data collection, compilation, and analysis; create, review and produce reports. Include maintaining various databases and/or spreadsheets10
Initiate and answer telephone calls and emails; screen and direct calls; greet visitors and direct to appropriate personnel. Receive, research and appropriately respond to inquiries regarding accounts, billing statements, policies and procedures, and other related issues Member of the One Stop Staff – perform task as needed to provide customer service to students and parents - knowledge of financial aid and registrar office. 40
Supplemental Functions:
Designs and/or executes an effective system of internal controls to ensure the security of data, record retention and the overall efficiency of the office.
Assist with payment plan process and financial clearance process.
Performs general accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations.
Review monthly outstanding check report and correspond with students to ensure student refund checks are cashed.
Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
High School graduate or GED equivalency required; Associates Degree preferred.
Three (3) years’ work experience in bookkeeping or related or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
