About the Role

Under the direction of the paint supervisor, the paint maintenance technician provides corrective and preventative maintenance on the paint application fluid delivery equipment in an effort to increase uptime and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance on paint application equipment to prevent unscheduled downtime.

  • Takes appropriate corrective action to keep paint production operating at its fullest capacity.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs fluid delivery equipment as needed or required. Maintains E-Coat System and repairs equipment as needed.

  • Performs daily startup and shutdown of paint system.

  • Performs calibration and operational checks on paint application equipment. Conduct required daily, or other periodic, environmental inspections.

  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.

Who we are looking for

  • Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.

  • Must have good problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures as well as mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic prints.

  • Must work well with others.

  • Properly package, label, and store Hazardous Waste both from operational activities or from a spill incident (Paint Maintenance).

Your preferred qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Associates Degree or Certificate within the technical or mechanical fields preferred.

  • 2 years’ experience working with paint equipment and/or mechanical equipment required.
